Feizal Valli and Rachael Roberts are two ridiculous people who met in 2013 and got married three years later. As long time fans of mid century modern design and owners of several full body costumes they decided to marry the two ideas to their love of craft cocktails and dive bars. The result is The Atomic Lounge. It's a labor of love they hope you'll enjoy.

A new Asian fusion restaurant with a menu featuring such dishes as Chinese duck nachos and Korean fried cauliflower has opened in the bustling Second Avenue North entertainment district in downtown Birmingham. The restaurant, called EastWest Kitchen & Bar, is owned and operated by Colby Conklin, who previously worked for about 10 years for the restaurant group that owns Chuck Fish's and Five.
